What is the Minimum Stay?
The minimum stay is 14 nights and we offer a 10% discount for a monthly (28 nights) stay and a 20% discount for two months and longer. Having built a community in Tenerife for over three we know that people like to have the same community around them for longer, this is why we have chosen a minimum stay of 14 nights at the Coliving. This helps to build a deeper connection and rapport between all the colivers. At Zen Den Coliving we really thrive on integration and feeling part of the community. So this is important.
However, if you do see a few days spare on the calendar where we have a spare room at the coliving and you want to join a friend, please contact us and we will try to make it happen
Is there a Coworking Space facility?
Yes, we have converted a historic library into a professional standard Coworking Space, it has ergonomic chairs and at least two power sockets per desk. There is also a separate space with four electronic sit/stand desks so you could consider this a second Coworking Space. There are also three rooms which will be for meetings or calls, these can be reserved without charge
The Coworking Facilities will be open 24 hours per day for Colivers staying at the Coliving. For any outside members, it will close at 10 pm.
As a member of Zen Den Coliving, you can also have free access to our dedicated Coworking Space Zen Den Coworking by the beach (subject to availability of desks).
Are there screens for rent?
Yes we have a selection of screens that can be rented, this starts at €3 per day and has discounts for longer stays/rentals.
Can I come just for Coworking?
If you are a member of the beachside Zen Den Coworking and there is sufficient space at the Colivings office space then yes you can use the space, we feel this is a unique aspect of Zen Den Coliving to build a greater community.
We also hope to welcome some local entrepreneurs from the surrounding town and La Laguna University to come and work at the space to help with the strong intention of bridging the gaps between local entrepreneurs.
What are the prices and what's included?
Prices vary by length of stay and by occupation of 1 or 2 guests. Check out our rooms for actual prices. Included in the price are cleaning, a daily breakfast, 24/7 use of the Zen Den Coworking space onsite, huge common areas, pool and garden, roof terrace and the events schedule (some will require a surcharge).
All of our rooms are ensuite except for the two twin rooms which share a bathroom but it still has three showers and three toilets. All rooms at the coliving have a desk and a chair.
What are the people staying at Zen Den Coliving like?
Like many Remote Workers who come to Tenerife, we expect people to stay between two and six weeks. We cater to working professionals with young and adventurous souls.
If you are expecting a party then Zen Den Coliving is not for you, we intend for it to be a social place where you can connect with other Digital Nomads, Remote Workers and local people.
As by far the largest Coliving Space on Tenerife with the most private rooms, it is the perfect place to be surrounded by like-minded professionals and entrepreneurs, but also have your own space to recharge your social batteries.
How does payment work?
When you make a booking, you will be required to pay 50% of the total amount through our website. The remaining payment will be settled during your stay with us.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
– Cancellation 21 days before arrival: the deposit will be refunded*
– Cancellation within 21 days of arrival: If the guest cancels within three to one week before the arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable but will be kept as a voucher to exchange for an equivalent amount of days on future stays at Zen Den Coliving.
– If the guest cancels less than one week before the arrival date, the total amount for the stay is non-refundable.
*-2% will be reduced from the deposit. This is what it costs to refund the deposit.
What if I need to leave for a few days during my stay?
If you need to head out on a business trip or want to head to one of the other beautiful Canary Islands for the weekend, you will need to pay the full price for the nights you are gone. Due to the minimum stay rules we mentioned above we cannot rent out your room to someone else and we have already accounted for these nights being paid. But don’t worry the room remains solely yours for these nights so you can leave your possessions.
We will consider if another Coliver wants to take over the nights in the house if they need to be extended, but this is to be arranged directly with the other party and then discussed with the onsite Community Manager.
Can I select a specific room when I book?
We cannot offer this I’m afraid no, Zen Den Coliving is situated in a beautiful 123-year-old Canarian Hotel, meaning that the rooms all have unique qualities and charm. But we believe we have categorised the rooms well to reflect the pricing and the category. If we let them be selected based on everyone’s preference, we would have large gaps in the stays, which we understandably cannot afford.
If you have a really strong referral or connection to a certain room. Then send us a message and we will try to accommodate you where we can.
Is there a kitchen at the Coliving?
There most certainly is, it’s a fully equipped kitchen that can be used by all colivers, it’s a large space where a lot of people can fit in at once. There is also a comedor with tables and chairs to eat next to the kitchen and plenty of outdoor seating in the garden to eat your meals. Every Coliver at Zen Den will have their own container for groceries and a section in the fridge.
Are there laundry facilities?
Yes, we have a laundry room with Washing Machines on the roof terrace, a wash costs €2.50 and we will supply washing detergent and conditioner. Clothes can be dried on the washing line on the roof and we ask for clothes not to be hung to dry in rooms or from windows.
Can I bring Children?
Zen Den love the little legends! But sadly due to the working environment and project ethos, the Coliving is not suited for children or families.
Can I bring my dog or other Pets?
As much as we love a doggo, the hotel is a historic building with lots of antiques and isn’t suited to having pets on site.
The Zen Den Coworking by the beach does allow dogs on request.
Can I have a friend or partner stay with me for part of my stay?
Its possible if you have a Double Room or have booked a Twin Room for single use. For the nights they stay they would stay they would just pay an additional €25 per night. This will grant them access to all the facilities at Zen Den Coliving and become part of the community. If they stay longer than 7 nights then we adjust the price of a stay in a double room to the dual occupancy price.
Is there a noise limit?
Yes due to the town centre nature of the property, we ask there is quiet time between 11 pm and 7 am daily at the Coliving.
What do you mean by Coliving?
Digital Nomad Coliving is a phenomenon that has been growing in popularity in recent years with the growth of Remote Working. It means you will be living together in a productive, safe and positive environment with like-minded people. At Zen Den Coliving this means that people come to stay temporarily to live, work from our Coworking and meet other Remote Workers. Because we offer private rooms with ensuite bathrooms and plenty of common areas and outdoor space it means you can combine being social and having your own personal space.
What makes the South so much more popular than the North for Remote Working?
The South has the best climate in Tenerife with unbeatable winter temperatures in the whole of Europe and that’s why over the last 40 years it has become one of the leading tourist destinations in Europe. Some may say that the North has more history but the South has both, activities beaches and parties by the coast and history and culture a little up the mountain. Most people would prefer to stay in the south because there is far more to do and better weather but historically there are more Coliving Spaces in the North of the island. This is because property costs in the South are far higher, meaning it is harder to find a suitable and affordable space to have a dedicated Coliving Space.
But due to Zen Den’s presence and work in the south of the island to develop community, we have managed to find a perfect place for you.
Zen Den Coliving allows you to balance historical and cultural aspects in the busiest part of the island with the largest Nomad Community. You can stay in the beautiful picturesque town of Arona, but then in less than twenty minutes drive be in the heart of Playa Las Americas or Los Cristianos.
How do I get to Zen Den Coliving from the airport?
Please don’t always rely on Google Maps when it comes to public transport. Sometimes the routes or times are not correct. Please check on the local bus company website or app Titsa
Tenerife has two airports, Tenerife Sur TFS and the Tenerife Norte TFN. Zen Den Coliving is by far the closest to Tenerife Sur, the south airport.
From the South Airport, you take the express bus 40 (express), 711 (night bus) or the 343 bus(stopping service) to Los Cristianos and change to the 480 towards Arona, then the Coliving is a three-minute walk. This if well-timed with schedules should be about an hour’s journey. At the time of writing the airport bus costs €3.45 and the Arona bus costs €1.45 so a total of €4.90
Another option is to take the airport express bus to Los Cristianos and then take a taxi to the coliving, the taxi will cost between €15 and €20.
You can also just take a taxi direct to the Coliving from Tenerife South Airport, ensure the meter is on and this should cost between €30 and €35 at time of writing.

Car rental. There are many car rental agencies at both the North and South airports and also closer to Zen Den Coliving in Los Cristianos and Play Las Americas. Luckily the cheapest deals can be found at the South Airport. They can be quite cheap, however, the addition of optional insurance can make the cost much higher. Tip: Have travel insurance that covers car rentals so that you don’t have to pay the additional costs at the rental agency.
We also have a small selection of Cars with trusted partners we can rent you directly from the Coliving.
Parking in the centre of Arona is free although finding a spot may be a few streets walking distance to Zen Den Coliving. The town is quite affluent and crime is very low so you will have no trouble leaving the car close by.
Do I need a car during my stay?
At Zen Den Coliving we will expect about 50% of the colivers to hire a car for their stay. We would recommend this if you want to explore the island to its fullest. Buses in Tenerife are okay, but they take more time and don’t reach everywhere so you might have to walk more.
The bus from Arona to the coast is reliable and stress-free though so if you only want to head to the beach or Zen Den Coworking this should be ok.
If you want to join Zen Den Coliving/Coworking/Community events we expect there will always be a car to share and we actually have an existing rideshares WhatsApp group as part of the larger Tenerife South Zen Den/Nomads Den Community.
Can I get food at Zen Den Coliving?
Included in the cost we have a yummy daily breakfast. Other than this we do not have a cafe or restaurant onsite, there is one of the best bakeries on the island “Aroma” 3 minute’s walk away which will not help your waistline and there is a small bar and restaurant serving Tapas next door to the Coliving.
Being in the South you will also have access to food and grocery deliveries through Uber Eats and Glovo. There are also three small supermarkets in the town, one which has a fresh veggie, bread and meat counter.
The communal kitchen is well equipped and ready for everyone to use and we have a large BBQ outside for feasts, we will have a family dinner organised which will have a small surcharge and excursions to local restaurants.
What activities do you offer and which ones are included?
At Zen Den Coliving we try to organise a schedule and activities that will help you feel part of the tribe and not just others living at the Colviing but in the greater Southern Community and Local Community too.
Some activities are free like our yoga, movie nights, boardgames nights and group exercise classes. Others will have surcharges such as family dinners or restaurant visits.
You will gain access to our larger community groups which have Latin dancing, parties, boardgames, female entrepreneurs, professional networking and much more if you head down to the coast.
What currency do they use in Tenerife?
Euro/€ as we are in the EU and part of Spain. Tenerife only has a 7% tax called IGIC so its already cheaper than the mainland.
What's the weather like in Tenerife?
Tenerife has amazing weather all year around, especially in the South where we have the sunniest climate. In Arona where the Colviing is situated is a little greener than the coast and has a few more days of rain… but not much. If there’s a cloudy day on the mountain you can just head down to the coast and sunbathe on the beach
In winter temperatures during the day vary from 18 degrees to 25 and in summer from 24 to 30 degrees. It will get colder at night, especially at the Coliving, so make sure to bring a thick hoodie so you can continue to hang out with us on the Roof Terrace.
