The South of Tenerife is not well known for its culinary delights or diversity, unless you are looking for a cheap English Fried Breakfast or a €1.50 beer.
However, the South is changing and evolving. With the emergence of the International Digital Nomad and Remote Worker community here in Tenerife Sur, more unique and creative restaurants and cafes are opening every month.

So here it is, Zen Den Coworking Tenerife’s opinion of the Top Ten Best Brunch Spots in South of Tenerife.

Probably off the beaten track for most Digital Nomads and Remote Workers if they haven’t been in the South of Tenerife for long. SIMPLE is located in the town of Adeje, which is the capital of the municipality. The cafe is situated on the hill, a short drive from Costa Adeje and the Zen Den Coworking.
SIMPLE has recently moved to a new, larger location because of its popularity and we can see why!
A real treat is in store for brunch lovers here with so many creative dishes that combine sweet and savory perfectly. They make super-fun coffee art and the service is extremely friendly and welcoming.
Probably a little far for a Remote Worker lunch break, but perfect for a weekend adventure.

Hidden away at the back of a shopping center at the entrance to Los Cristianos is Pistachios. Which is a laid-back, high-end brunch spot, the likes of which you would be familiar with seeing in major European cities like London, Paris, or Barcelona.
Their food is all inventive, natural, and fresh and they like to combine different flavours to create interesting and creative dishes that will leave you wanting more.
A selection of Pancakes, Smoothie and Buddha Bowls, Egg Dishes, and also a variety of specialty coffees. With Burgers and Burritos if you arrive a little later in the day.
A favorite for Digital Nomads in Los Cristianos.
PALMERA Coffee Brunch Tenerife Sur

Our Favorite Dish – FIT SIMPLE CHICKEN – Grilled chicken breast, scrambled eggs, onions, chive, avocado, and tomatoes.

Probably the most instagrammable brunch spot on the list. Palmera Coffee Brunch has its own backdrop wall for your check-ins and stories while visiting.
The food has more of a Canarian flair, combining the Canary Islands tastes with Northern European brunch favorites.
If you are looking for something healthy and protein-packed, then Palmera Coffee Brunch might just be the perfect recovery after a hard exercise session. Because their healthy meal range and FIT brunches include protein-packed shredded chicken and eggs. PROTEINLICIOUS.
Definitely a place for healthy Digital Nomads and Remote Workers.
The Thirsty Turtle Café & Terrace Bar Tenerife

The Thirsty Turtle and its partner restaurant/bar The Ginger Pig are located next to each other conveniently in San Eugenio Costa Adeje. Its about an 8-minute walk away from our workspace.
Also suitable for lunch and dinner, the Turtle offers a great selection of brunch options. It is probably the most suitable on the list if you are looking to combine more traditional English-style breakfasts, and healthier more creative alternatives.
A Lively and sunny atmosphere is guaranteed to cheer you up and food is served quickly. Great if you are hungry after a night out.
There are vegetarian options available, if Vegan is needed the kitchen is very flexible. Service is always friendly and they also speak English. The food is well cooked and presented and they always have some fun music playing.

This is a beautiful little boutique Cafe, with only seven tables. It really feels like you are invited around a friend’s house for brunch.
It’s purely a vegetarian and vegan cafe, slightly hidden away at the very end of Los Cristianos. Reservations are suggested as it’s a very popular place to go, but once you are inside and seated the host really takes care of you.
Coffee is good and you will be given a selection of options from their handwritten menu that changes regularly. On my most recent visit, I went with the Vegan Breakfast Burrito, it was absolutely delicious.
If you want a healthy Vegan Brunch with a personal touch, then this is for you.

This place certainly has the most character and personality of any of the choices. It’s an extravagant and traditionally decorated tea room. A creative space, it has a high attention to detail and a focus on quality products.
The menu is diverse with mini brunch and gourmet brunch options, poke bowls, sandwiches, pancakes. With lots more choice if that wasn’t enough.
If you have been missing a good selection of teas on the island, then look no further. You will be treated to more than 20 different types. They all come with how long they need to be brewed for and the health benefits involved.
Lilles Garden is a unique and special experience and if you are in Tenerife South for any length of time it should be experienced. If you have time, check out the story of Lilles Cafe on their website, it’s worth a read.

Our Favorite Dish – Eggs Benedict
Remote Working Possible – Yes, however, plugs are inside and the majority of tables are outside with a little glare. Wifi is available.
Are Vegetarian/ Vegan options available? – Yes
If you want the perfect view while you eat, then this is your spot. It is right in front of the main surfing beaches in Playa Las Americas.
Metropolis Cafe is the best-situated Cafe if you want to be entertained by some surfing wizardry and have a great coffee while doing it.
People watching aside, it’s a mainly outdoor cafe that is busy at the best of times, but even busier if there are good waves. But it’s worth the wait for a table.
They have a fantastic Eggs Benedict, which is not found everywhere on the island, and also a great salmon dish with eggs and spinach. All dishes served on artisan bread.
Other menu items include croissants and smoothie bowls.
Lille Café El Medano (Not To Be Confused With Lilles Garden Above.)

If you find yourself on an adventure to the popular windsurfing town of El Medano, then this is definitely our pick for a yummy brunch in this area of Tenerife.
Quality barista coffee and contemporary atmosphere, with a really nice personal touch. This is a friendly brunch spot, where they do their best to give fantastic service and quality, tasty food.
They have an amazing €10 brunch, which is excellent value for money considering you get an Eggs Benedict (Vegetarian but you can add bacon.) Coffee, Fresh Juice, Homemade Yogurt and Granola, and a Croissant. Simply wonderful.
Tierra Cafe (Vegetarian And Vegan)

Our Favourite Dish – Sweetcorn Fritters with Homemade Baked Beans and Avocado
Remote Working Possible – Not suggested, it is on a noisy terrace in a busy tourist area.
Are Vegetarian/ Vegan options available? – Yes, only vegetarian and vegan.
Tierra Cafe is located in the heart of Puerto Colon. Long-established as one of the most touristy areas of Tenerife South and home to a lot of British pubs.
It really is a diamond in the rough though and serves up a scrumptious menu of locally grown vegetarian and vegan breakfast, lunches, and smoothes.
With healthy buddha bowls and salads, tasty smoothies like the Salted Caramel, Buenas Dias, and the Green Machine They even have their very own healthy vegan take on the “Full English Breakfast”.
It’s a brunch experience with a sea view that cannot be missed.
Not suggested for Cafe Working as it is in a particularly noisy area, but nice if you want vegetarian or vegan food.
Bloom Bar & Brunch - La Caleta

Last but not least on our list is Bloom Bar and Brunch in La Caleta. If you haven’t been to this part of the south it is certainly worth a visit. Caleta has a sweeping cove and great seafood restaurants alongside it. Take a walk up over the hills and visit the famous hippie beach too.
Bloom Brunch & Bar is probably the most elaborate and classy on the list. The kind of place you won’t look out of place sipping Mimosa and wearing your new exquisite summer dress.
A smaller space, but perfectly decorated. Bloom serves up high-quality brunches for you to enjoy.
Dishes like Shakshuka Eggs and Smash Brunch Burger are highlights, there are also combination options where you can have multiple dishes at a reduced price.
Bloom is also the only place we have seen in the South of Tenerife which has a “Bottomless Brunch” option… which includes Cava. That’s why it is amongst the Best Brunches in Tenerife, you are welcome.
So, as you can see Tenerife South is bursting at the seams with great places for Digital Nomads to brunch.
