The South of Tenerife is not well known for its culinary delights or diversity, unless you are looking for a cheap English Fried Breakfast or a €1.50 beer.
However, the South is changing and evolving. With the emergence of the International Digital Nomad and Remote Worker community here in Tenerife Sur, more unique and creative restaurants and cafes are opening every month.

If you’ve been around the Tenerife Nomad Community (Nomads Den) for more than five minutes, you’ve probably heard someone rave about Ola Verde, and with good reason. We’ve hosted multiple Nomad Brunches here in 2025 and every single time, people walk away saying the same thing: “How did I not know about this place sooner?”
Tucked away in Los Cristianos (just a breezy 6-minute drive from Zen Den Coworking with easy parking right out front), Ola Verde is the kind of spot that hits you with instant good vibes. Think chilled surf energy blended with a touch of California sunshine, a sprinkle of Mexico, and a little Santiago soul. The owners are genuinely lovely, the kind of people who remember faces, not just orders. And their passion shows in everything they do.
The menu is a greatest-hits album of brunch comfort meets travel-inspired freshness: creamy açaí bowls, colourful Thai Buddha bowls, stacked plates, refreshing iced chai lattes, and plenty more that will absolutely have you planning a “second breakfast.” Service is warm, attentive, and consistently excellent… which is probably why the place is always busy.
Seriously: make a reservation. We’ve had to beg for tables for community brunches more than once… worth it every time.
A must-visit for nomads, brunch lovers, and anyone chasing a delicious, sun-soaked morning.

Hidden away at the back of a shopping center at the entrance to Los Cristianos is Pistachios. Which is a laid-back, high-end brunch spot, the likes of which you would be familiar with seeing in major European cities like London, Paris, or Barcelona.
Their food is all inventive, natural, and fresh and they like to combine different flavours to create interesting and creative dishes that will leave you wanting more.
A selection of Pancakes, Smoothie and Buddha Bowls, Egg Dishes, and also a variety of specialty coffees. With Burgers and Burritos if you arrive a little later in the day.
A favorite for Digital Nomads in Los Cristianos.

Black Horse Gastro Pub is one of those long-established Tenerife spots that everyone thinks they know… until they walk in now. Under new management, the place has been fully re-energised, modern, vibrant, and genuinely surprising with its food. What used to be a classic pub has quietly evolved into one of the most exciting brunch and social spaces on the south coast.
It’s right by the beach in Playa Fañabé, making it ridiculously easy to reach from Zen Den Coworking (and perfectly placed for rolling into the ocean after a heavy brunch).
We host our Friday After Work Drinks networking event here every Friday, and it’s become one of the community’s favourite meetups, but recently we discovered something else: their brunch is unreal. Like… nobody expects brunch this good from a pub, and then the plates arrive and you just sit there blinking at how chef-y everything looks.
From stacked pancakes and bubble waffles to Eggs Benedict, Buddha bowls, and their full fry-up that hits all the comforting notes… Black Horse takes classic comfort food and gives it a modern twist without losing the soul. Fresh, colourful, loaded with flavour — proper food that actually makes you feel good.

Bloom Bar & Brunch - La Caleta

Last but not least on our list is Bloom Bar and Brunch in La Caleta. If you haven’t been to this part of the south it is certainly worth a visit. Caleta has a sweeping cove and great seafood restaurants alongside it. Take a walk up over the hills and visit the famous hippie beach too.
Bloom Brunch & Bar is probably the most elaborate and classy on the list. The kind of place you won’t look out of place sipping Mimosa and wearing your new exquisite summer dress.
A smaller space, but perfectly decorated. Bloom serves up high-quality brunches for you to enjoy.
Dishes like Shakshuka Eggs and Smash Brunch Burger are highlights, there are also combination options where you can have multiple dishes at a reduced price.
Bloom is also the only place we have seen in the South of Tenerife which has a “Bottomless Brunch” option… which includes Cava. That’s why it is amongst the Best Brunches in Tenerife, you are welcome.
Metropolis Bar Café
Distance to Zen Den Coworking – 24-minute walk.
Our Favorite Dish – Eggs Benedict
Remote Working Possible – Yes, however, plugs are inside and the majority of tables are outside with a little glare. Wifi is available.
Are Vegetarian/ Vegan options available? – Yes
If you want the perfect view while you eat, then this is your spot. It is right in front of the main surfing beaches in Playa Las Americas.
Metropolis Cafe is the best-situated Cafe if you want to be entertained by some surfing wizardry and have a great coffee while doing it.
People watching aside, it’s a mainly outdoor cafe that is busy at the best of times, but even busier if there are good waves. But it’s worth the wait for a table.
They have a fantastic Eggs Benedict, which is not found everywhere on the island, and also a great salmon dish with eggs and spinach. All dishes served on artisan bread.
Other menu items include croissants and smoothie bowls.
So, as you can see Tenerife South is bursting at the seams with great places for Digital Nomads to brunch.
